Special Instructions
Although D2 steel does have some stainless properties, it is a high performance Carbon tool steel, therefore special care must be taken in the maintenance of the blade.
Wipe over blade with an oily rag after use, never store wet, and wipe off corrosive or reactive substances within a short amount of time.
If you do develope corrosion spots, it's not the end of the world, just remove corrosion with Smurf Poo or Pre-Lim (both of which we sell) or protect during use with Renaissance Wax. With use the steel will develop an invisible patina against corrosion.
